| The separation anxiety of the 3 years old children is a very important problem in the real world. Children left their home and went into the kindergarten without their parents. How to adapt the change of environment had became an important problem which was urgent to be solved. If we can’t help the children to go through this time, it will influence their physical and psychological health, even their future life.This study was used an observational research and a case study to explore the separation anxiety of the junior children in preschoolers. Through the observational research, to find out the main features and appear time of separation anxiety. In the case study, found out the child with most serious separation anxiety during the observation time. Then the researcher had a talk with her parents, in order to find out the reasons. After that researcher using picture book to help child reduce the degree of separation anxiety. Four picture books related to resisting separation anxiety were selected. The child was trained for a period of two weeks, twice a week, every 30 minutes of reading picture books.The results were as followings:most 3 years old children had separation anxiety, it was disappeared as time went on; the main manifestation of separation anxiety was cry and repetition the sentences, attachment to the teacher and sitting on the seat quietly; when children were separated from parents, the separation anxiety was most serious; and lunch time was not seriously.Based on the research, we made following suggestions:pay attention to the quiet and introverted children who show their separation anxiety by some less drastic means; kindergarten can use some methods to reduce children separation anxiety such as make children go to the kindergarten in batches; use various methods to ease children’s separation anxiety; to strengthen the empirical study of using picture books to reduce children separation anxiety. |
