"Decisions of Comprehensively Promoting the Rule of Law and Other Major Issues of CPC Central Committee" that passed on the fourth plenary session of the 18 th central committee of CPC provided that "In order to the construct legal work force with high-quality, we should put the ideological and political construction in the priority, strengthen the ideal and faith education; innovate the training mechanism of legal talents, and adhere to the principle of morality education first”. As the main fronts of legal personnel training, political colleges should strengthen the sense of social responsibility education on law school students, which is also an inevitable choice of implementing "comprehensive rule of law" strategy, and the inherent requirement of promoting of higher legal education reform and innovation, as well as practical needs of meeting the round development of law school students.But in recent years, the cultivation on legal talents is more focused on professional legal education, to a certain extent, the professional skills are taught, while the cultivation of professional ethics is ignored. Some problems and deficiencies are existed in the educational philosophy, educational content and educational methods in regards of the social responsibility education of law school students. Compared with the dilemma of social responsibility education in domestic, more and more world-class universities have regarded the leadership education as an effective carrier and realization approach of enhancing the social responsibility sense as students, and fruitful results have achieved. The effective educational mode of leadership education has important reference value for the social responsibility education of students in our country.In these modes of education, the Social Change Model of Leadership Development is a theoretical model with the most influence and most widely used in the leadership education among American college students, it believes that leadership and social responsibility are closely related, and based on this model, the concept of socially responsible leadership is also put forward, which is defined as a value-based process that aims to promote positive social changes by cooperating with others. “Socially Responsible Leadership" contains eight values with the core of positive changes, of which, individual value includes Consciousness of self, Congruence and Commitment; group value includes Collaboration, Common Purpose and Controversy with Civility; society value refers to the Citizenship. "Socially Responsible Leadership" provides us with a new perspective and tool to observe and study the issue of social responsibility among college students.In this study, the approach of quantitative research is adopted, and the law school students are regarded as subjects; in addition, the Socially Responsible Leadership Scale-Revised Version Two is employed as an evaluation tool to carry out related research. The focus of this study is to assess the current development status of socially responsible leadership among law school students, explore the influencing factors of law school students’ socially responsible leadership development, and to solve real problems that existed in its development. In addition, it also explores the effective ways and means in regards of socially responsible leadership education based on its current development, in order to solve the practical problems that existed during the education among college students.The results showed that, the socially responsible leadership of law school students in China are wholly at upper middle level. If we see it from the otherness study of three dimensions of individual factor, course study and social participation, it can found that there is no significant difference of socially responsible leadership level between students’ attendance in course study dimension and part-time job in social participation dimension; while there is significant difference of socially responsible leadership level among current events focusing in individual factor dimension, score rank in course study dimension and community voluntary in social participation dimension. In addition, the political status factor, student cadre factor, practical course factor, backbone training factor, social research factor and internship factor all have varying degrees of influence on the development of socially responsible leadership among law school students. Based on the above, this study proposes related educational countermeasures and suggestions, for example, conduct current events research activities, and encourage the students to practice what they preach; carry out campus activities to cultivate of working in cooperation; and advocate legal aid services to inspire students to undertake citizenship.This paper consists of six parts. The introduction part describes the research background and current situation, raises the research questions. The first chapter reviews the theoretical basis of the socially responsible leadership education of law school students. The second chapter elaborates the realistic basis of socially responsible leadership education among law school students. The third chapter analyzes the results of empirical research, summarizes the development status of socially responsible leadership education and its influencing factors. The fourth chapter presents targeted educational measures and suggestions. The conclusion part states deficiencies and future prospects.
