The study used self-compiled "questionnaire on leadership of senior high school principals for teachers",self-compiled "questionnaire on leadership of senior high school principals for principal" and self-compiled "Leadership interview outline of high school principal" conducted questionnaire survey among eleven high school teachers in H city,and Interviews with three high school principals.Research shows:the principal leadership of the key high school of the provincial is obviously higher than the principal leadership of the key high school in the city;H City exemplary high school principals' cultural leadership and teaching leadership performance is better;significant differences in leadership of high school principals with different gender,age and educational background;there are significant differences in leadership of the principal high school principals with different years of service;there are significant differences in the leadership ability of principals participating in different training times;innovative leadership is important to principal leadership.The interview data show H city model high school principals have done a lot of work on the cultural construction of the school,but in teacher incentives are not yet the way.An in-depth analysis found that the principal leadership problems in H city model high school mainly focus on the principal's knowledge and understanding of education.Finally,according to the requirements of principals' knowledge,knowledge and ability,this paper puts forward three suggestions for improving the leadership of demonstrative high school principals.First is to deepen the understanding of the concept of modern education,especially innovation,management and talent.The second is to strengthen the learning of the principal's professional knowledge,especially the cultural knowledge,the curriculum development knowledge and the communication knowledge.The third is to improve the principal's professional ability,especially the management ability,the internal management ability and the communication ability.
