The instructional mode that teaching through lively activities is always advocated in china. It has already been adopted in some subjects. This teaching model is more applied to primary curriculum. With the improvement of chemistry education, what has been put forward in ‘high school chemistry curriculum standars’ is that based on the nine-year compulsory education, the aim of high school chemistry curriculum is to improve students’ scientific literacy, stimulate students’ interest in learning chemistry, respect and promote students’ personality development. Obviously traditional teaching model has not been applicable to new curriculum requirments. Changing teaching model is imperative. Although the teaching method which combines games and teaching is not new, it conforms with current teaching principte. Teaching with games is a mode that combines education and entertainment. Infiltrating the content of courses, it helps to stimulate students’ interest. It is a teaching mode that improves students’ comprehensive ability. Teaching with games is in accordance with the teaching principle which is called learning through play. It has received recognition and support from a large number of educationalists. And it has broad application prospects in the field of education.Nowadays, game-teaching has been involved in various fields, from theory to pratice, from design to game development, from instructional design to the case. Because of the controversial phenomenon of the gamelearing theory, it is still in the exploratory stage. If we combine games with teaching inappropriately, as a result, students are more likely to focus on the game and ignore the knowledge. How to be student-oriented and teacher-directed and how to infiltrate the concept of edutainment have become a problem that educationalists concern.Firstly, the writer analyzes the works and documents which are from home and abroad. After understanding the depth of game theory, the writer combine the theory of cooperative learning with inquiry learning theory and the theory of multiple intelligence learning. The writer put forward the goal of game-teaching in chemistry teaching.Secondly, the writer know the students’ interest in learning, the present situation of study and learing initiatives through questionnaire survey. The writer understand the attitude of the teachers and the wish to play games of the students through interviews. On this basis, inccordance with the requirements of high school chemistry curriculum standard, the writer selected “ Classification of substances ” and “Ionic equcation” which are from High school chemistry compulsory1 to design and practice.Finally, the writer put the method into practice. According to class observations questionnaires, students’ learning interest, learning attitude and cooperative ability and grades have improved more than other classes. What’s more, teaching game has increased the communication between students and teachers. It can create a relaxed happy learing environment. We really achieve the method of edutainment and learning through play.
