"Biotechnology practice" belongs to the biological elective 1 module of the high school in China, it was designed on the basis of meeting the diversity of students.However, owing to those actors, such as the experimental conditions and qualified teachers, the teaching method was single, and the pass reception teaching model still exists. Moreover, the biological science literacy and inquiry ability,such as the ability of students to design experiments, collect evidence and scientific inquiry were not well exhibited. Micro class, which depends on its characteristics such as, convenience, efficient and interesting learning, began to be recognized and used by more and more people with the progress of the information age. What’s more, it has been used in various disciplines. The present study investigated the open situation of "biotechnology practice" module and the view of teachers to micro class in Guiyang city, and designed a case study of " cultivation and application of microorganism" as a practice class to explore the experimental teaching, which takes micro curriculumas into teaching resources, pay its attention to cultivate the ability of students’ autonomous learning and experiment exploring. The study was mainly to enrich the micro class resources of biology in senior high school, provided a reference for further explore on elective experimental teaching of high school biology, and promoted the development of students’ abilities of autonomous learning and experimental research.The survey based on the open situation of optional course 1 showed that, the opening rate and the class set increased in 2016 were higher than those in 2014 in Guiyang City, for its less difficulty, more reflective of the practicability of biology, and it improves the interest of students to learn biology. Nowadays, the teaching resources of experimental teaching were mainly relying on network video teaching resources, designed by the teaching theme. However, due to the lacking of teaching equipment, the limitation of teachers to grasp the degree, the students experiment out rate is still low. The teaching in real life failed to reflect the cultivation of students’ abilities of autonomous learning and experimental inquiry. According to the attitude of using micro course in selective 1 experiment teaching, the vast most teachers are positive, they think the elementary knowledge, subject background knowledge and the process of the schematic diagram can be developed for micro course in order to help students to study by themselves.Taking the project of "microbial cultivation and application" in high school biology elective 1 as example, we construct micro flow chart for the design of class. According to analyzing the known conditions, selecting content of micro course, designing the content, and producing the content by the process, we established the package of micro curriculum resources which include video resources and text resources. Based on the micro curriculum teaching resources, we explored an effective way to cultivate students’ abilities of autonomous learning and experimental research, and took a series of teaching practices at the same time. By comparing with the control class, using learning plan and teaching PPT in micro courses did not significantly upregulated the test scores on the experimental class. But the questionnaire survey results showed that the learning way, learning interest, learning effect evaluation and micro course application quality evaluation etc were obviously improved., and about 75.2 percent of students expressed their supports to the micro teaching. What’s more, they put forward suggestions on the application of the micro curriculum. |
