A Study On The Value Of Education Of Ran’s Genealogy In Chongqing

In recent years, with more attention of the society to the traditional culture, folk genealogy has entered the public eye again, in which, the significance and value of the genealogy is particularly concerned by the society. in ancient China it is a common construction of family and country which makes the genealogy has a close relationship with Chinese culture. Scholars have started to study the family tree, from different angles, such as economics, history, sociology and so on and The results have been shown to have a strong academic value for academic research which also a strong social and practical value. Shortly, genealogy is very meaningful to solve the problem of the current school education in our country.Through the field investigation of Youyang County in Southeast Chongqing. The author found that the existence of Ran’s family tree is to provide the basic material, but also the direction for this study. Ran’s family tree has a total of eleven chapters and divided into two parts which is score and Branch spectrum. The score is divided into ten chapters that including the origin, the clan culture and so on. Chapter eleven is a spectral set, a spectrum involving in Youyang County, 10 sets of 100 volumes, a total of57 counties in Chongqing, Sichuan, Guizhou and other each branch of the spectrum to write, which recorded list of lineage and branch spectra of narration and Youyang Ran Shouzhong. Ran’s family rules is in the early part of the compilation in the Qing Dynasty, Ran Chongwen general usurped the throne from Youyang County of Qing Dynasty and the intrinsic, rules part of a total of 13, placed on the frontispiece,signifying its position and function in the genealogy, which also is the research focus.The literature and anthropology method is put in through the Ran’s family tree, and also including open interviews to Ran’s descendants, which summed up the Ran’sgenealogy and family rules "focus on the family ethics, content coverage and method is easy to accept the character; Then, two aspects of The educational value, the individual and the group, is analyzed. it is concluded that ran genealogy of rules is very useful to enhance the individual’s moral cultivation and guide the individual reading to develop the traditional virtues; Also, ran genealogy of rules also has a high value to promote the national identity, inheritance civilization and building a harmonious society.The study re-examined the education value of the Ran’s genealogy and family rules and points out inherent unity of family education and social education. Then, the study points out the unique role of family education in the management of social organization and social harmony and social control, which giving a balance of family education,school education and social management and provides an alternative solution. Therefore,It is recommended that more attention should be paid to the educational value of genealogy of Ran, but it should be combined with the spirit of the times from its essence and with family education, school education and social education to achieve the goal of family harmony and social harmony.
