The Ministry of Education issued on the implementation of the " Students Quality Development Plan " view in 2002, after the promulgation and implementation of the plan,outward bound first to be brought into the Peking University ’s Classroom. Since then, many colleges and universities have ushered in a new course- Outward Bound.Unlike other colleges’ curriculum, its particularity makes practitioners- the outward bound teachers unlike other teachers, this creates challenges for college management.In order to better manage and motivate the university outward bound teachers,in this paper, starting with job involvement and basic psychological needs to find the job involvement characteristics of the university outward bound teachers and explore the relationship between job involvement and basic psychological needs.This study used questionnaires.Study participants are from 8 universities,such as Peking University,Capital University of Physical Education and Sports, China University of Geosciences,College of Mobile Telecommunications Chongqing University of Posts and Telecom and so on.We use the Chinese version of the Work Engagement Scale(UWES) and revised Chinese version of the basic psychological demand table(BPNS)to survey,which have good reliability and validity.The two scales apply to domestic research.To develop a better understanding of this special group of university outward bound teachers, we set up the non-outward bound teachers group for comparison.Eventually, the outward bound group to recover the 94 questionnaires, non-outward bound group to recover 111 valid questionnaires.Finally, we analyze the data.The results show:both the university outward bound teachers and non-outward bound teachers in job involvement are more moderate level;both the university outward bound teachers and non-outward bound teachers in basic psychological needs satisfaction is above the average level;In particular,in the group of university outward bound teachers,male teachers’ satisfy in the need for attribution is significantly higher than female teachers, married teachers’ job involvement is significantly higher than unmarried teachers;in non-outward bound group, married teachers’ competency demand is significantly higher than unmarried teachers.Simultaneously,job involvement is mainly affected by the attribution of basic psychological needs,and attribution mainly affect the degree of focus on work in both of these groups.
