The evaluation of Chinese composition is an important index to measure whether the composition has made process or not. Appropriate evaluation makes for the abilities of students’ composition. On the contrary, inappropriate evaluation makes students’ dysphoric. Thus, evaluation is a double-edged sword. This study takes the perspective of Humanism to evaluate the composition on the basis of students, and throw out some suggestions for teachers’ evaluation.In view of this, taking Urumqi as an example, analyzing the problem of composition evaluation in primary schools by Questionnaire Survey, Content Analysis, Interviewing Method. Firstly, learning about current situation of composition evaluation for high-level students in primary school by Questionnaire Survey. Next, analyzing the composition exercises for different level students and the interviewing results for teachers to conclude some problems. Last, explore revelant suggestions according to the problems.Specifically, this study consists of the following four parts.In the first chapter, expounding "what to study, why to study and how to study" roundly and combing revelant studies about composition evaluation home and abroad.In the second chapter, defining some core concepts of this study: writing according to the pictures, doing exercises in composition, composition evaluation. Composition evaluation is a value judgement to many kinds of factors and phenomena for students’ composition from Chinese teachers, it is appeared in the form of paper grades, scores or comments.In the third chapter, collecting revelant materials by Questionnaire Survery to explore the current condition of composition evaluation. It turned out that realistic basis is absent, objects and ways are unitary, results of the evaluation are too simple.In the fourth chapter, putting forward some specific suggestions according to revelant demand. Firstly, advising teachers to make evaluation according to revelant different composition, giving evaluation from students’ views, respecting and protecting students’ self-esteem, satisfing students’ needs to composition evaluation.
