Humanoid robot is mainly used for advertising malls, and it also can be used forscience museums, museums, exhibitions and other promotional occasions to enhancethe interesting and attractive of exhibits, enhancing the publicity. Humanoid robot is anew advertising equipment which has great commercial value. Some appliancemanufacturers such as Haier Science and some technology museum have expressedstrong interest in it.According to customer’s requirements for the function of the humanoid robot, andcombining with development status and application technology at home and abroad, this paper design a humanoid robot control system, make the robot not only has realphysical characteristics, but also has a lot of human’s ablity. Such as, it can do a varietyof body movements and dance as well. It has many facial expressions. It cancommunicate with people through voice interaction and play a variety of text and videoads.Humanoid robot control system consists of two levels control system: uppermachine and lower machine. The upper machine is primarily responsible for thesupervisory control and coordinated optimization of the each intelligent node via theCAN-bus, while the upper machine is also responsible for speech recognition andspeech synthesis. Each lower-level nodes control some motors, steering gear, clutch, and collect signals from the sensors, and according to instruction form the uppermachine to realize various fuctions of the robot. The robot control system uses theEVOC EC3-1816CLD2NA industrial computer and Microchip’s PIC18F46K80microcontroller which embedded with CAN controller and other hardware. Thesoftware was designed on the Windows OS,and it adopts multithreading technology,Visual C++and MPLAB IDE plateform.Humanoid robot control system had been test actually and it ran well, realize thethe design requirements fully.
