Acceptable quality of the nuclear fuel rod is the key factor of the nuclear reactorrunning safely and stably. The16-channel and high-speed data acquisition card basedon Gigabit Ethernet communication, which designed in this paper, is mainly used inthe new non-destructive testing system for the nuclear fuel rods.This card could count the16channels input signals simultaneously within acertain time, which was range of200μs-30s. The counting time and thecommunication time was set by the host computer and the count value was stored inthe board. When reach the communication time, the card uploads the count value tothe computer via Gigabit Ethernet. The card running was controlled by the commands,which were sent by the remote host computer via Gigabit Ethernet.The card designed in this paper was designed16counters on the EP2C5T144C6FPGA device, for the16channel input signals, and a32-bit timer for controlling thecounting time. It used SDRAM for storing data in the card temporarily with theping-pong mode. Using the S3C440BOX ARM micro controller as the core controller,It was responsible for the data dump, controlling the counter, reading and writing I/O,sending data, receiving commands, controlling the card,etc. The communicationbetween the card and the remote host computer was achieved by AX88180GigabitEthernet controller and the physical chip88E1111.This paper in the Visual Studio2010integrated development environment, basedon Microsoft Foundation Class Library (MFC), developed the application program byusing the C double plus language and designed the interactive interface to controldata acquisition card and receive data.After field testing, the data acquisition card was running fast, low packet loss rateand network transmission stability. The performance indicators met the designrequirements. |
