With the continuous development of information technology and digital technique,theInternet has now become the world’s most important platform of information dissemination.Various types of information are posted and disseminated via the Internet,which speeds up theinformation flow greatly and brings much convenience to people.Meanwhile,there are differentkinds of confidential and non-public information that spread on the web as well,including nationalsecurity information,military information and individual privacy,etc.Being different from publicinformation,all sorts of sensitive information must be highly classified and restricted.There existsthe potential risks and dangers in mass communication,and it is getting harder and harder to ensurethe safety with all the information now freely available on the web.Therefore,modern informationhiding technology is now an important research topic because it provides effective ways to solvethe new problems in the field of information hiding.This paper studies the technology of digital image information hiding.Taking all the historicalconditions as background, the article makes a systematical explanation of the status quo.Startingfrom the theoretical system,technical model and classification characters,the writer makes analysisand research on digital image information hiding technique and its application fields.Least Significant Bit is a common kind of Digital image information hiding.This articleintroduces its theory,extracting method,algorithm,technical characteristics and evaluationsystem.On the basis of analysis above,the writer proposed an improved algorithm,which has betterperformances than other methods in terms of high embedding capacity and low distortion.Thesimulation results show that it is indeed operable and effective. Vector Quantization is a reversible digital image information hiding technology.The paperhighlights the Side Match Vector Quantization image information hiding and its pros and cons.Onthis foundation,a new mixed base notation lossless image information hiding technology isproposed.The experiment result indicates that this algorithm is not only invisible,but alsoimproves the information hiding capacity and the embedded time.
