Fibre Channel is usually used as the communication network in the large elec-tronic system because of its strong realtime, high bandwidth, low latency and high reliability. Ethernet and TCP/IP is the most popular technology at present. With the expansion of the electronic system, the communication and management between de-vices become more and more complicated. With the demand of communication cross different network and unified management of all devices increasing, the research of the bridge technology between the fiber channel and the Ethernet is of great signifi-cance.Firstly, the paper researchs the technology about bridging FC and Ethernet. Secondly, the paper designs the asymmetric dual core system, and dicuss the software and hardware scheme. At last the paper designs the whole software of FC and Ether-net bridging platform. It mainly includes:dual core system module, FC transceiver module, Ethernet transceiver module, protocol conversion module and management software module.Through the test on the hardware platform, the results show that the FC-Eth conversion speed is 25MB/s when only one core works. When two cores are both working, the speed is 2x20MB/s. The results also show that each function module can meet the requirements.
