In the rapid economic development society, a lot of people lamented humanitybackwards. The problem of humanity is the most basic issue of management. It tends togive us the feeling of forest for the trees while the problem of humanity is ignored. Asalways, the topic of good and evil has never been interrupted. However, what is “good”?There is no uniform evaluation criteria so far. Research on the organization andmanagement of human resource practices should return to the issue of humanity ofmanagement. Human resource should be established in the glow of humanity on the basisof conscience, and the premise must first clarify the operational definition of “good” or“benevolence”, including its internal structure and dimensions. On the basis of summing up the past literatures, this paper gathered informationthrough depth interview, using grounded theory, along with open coding, relationalcoding, and selective coding, reducing the phenomenon and information layer upon layer, and at last constructed the theoretical models of the structure and dimensions ofindividual benevolence. This is a multi-dimensional hierarchical model, which can bedivided into cognitive benevolence, emotional benevolence, vlitional benevolence, andbehavioral benevolence. Each dimension contains several subsidiary dimensions, including global concept, objective and impartial, value judgments, generous heart, lovingheart, value emotion, conscientiousness, inner rules, self-control, altruistic behavior, mutualistic behavior, eleven kinds of categories, forty kinds of specific ingredients ofbenevolence in total. One this basis, combined with qualitative analysis of the meaning ofeach concept, we developed a measurement scale of benevolence. Data of123smallsamples which was random obtained from different type of enterprise in china wasstatistically analyzed by SPSS19.0, we modify the index system and form the formalquestionnaire at the basis of analysis result. Then survey and analysis for a large sample, through the exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis based on the416sample data using SPSS19.0and AMOS17.0, we find that the concept of “benevolence”in Chinese hearts nowadays has four dimensions: cognitive benevolence, emotionalbenevolence, vlitional benevolence, and behavioral benevolence. So the results ofqualitative analysis are verified with quantitative analysis. Finally, this paper draws the conclusion at the same time analysis its shortcomings, itprovides the direction and thinking for the follow-up study. This study constructs a model of the dimensions of benevolence and measurement scale, which has pioneering meaningfor the future study. At the same time, this paper points out the need for further study ofthe situational factors on the extent of the outward manifestation of the in-heart goodness, and to consider cross-layer mechanisms at different levels’ benevolence and individualbenevolence.
