Study On The Competitiveness Evaluation Of Jiangxi’s Equipment Manufacturing And Its Development Countermeasures

The equipment manufacturing is the pillar industry of the national economy, is asource of economic growth, is the symbol of the national strength, and is also ameasure of a country or a region critical competitive mark. With the national“Eleventh Five-Year Plan” of the equipment manufacturing industry identified as thecountry’s strategic industries, studying on the domestic regional equipmentmanufacturing is very necessary, which is great significant for the invigoration ofequipment manufacturing industry. In recent years, the fast development of Jiangxiindustry, making the equipment manufacturing to become the focus of development inJiangxi province. But it still exists on a big gap in the development level between theJiangxi province and the developed provinces in our country. Therefore, researchingon the equipment manufacturing industry competitiveness conditions and proposingthe development of countermeasures, have important implications for the economicdevelopment in Jiangxi Province.Firstly, the paper describe the equipment manufacturing industry, the industrialcompetitiveness and other related theories, and then, it analyzes the developmentcondition of the equipment and the competitiveness situation of the varioussub-sectors, and conducts the competitiveness of Jiangxi’s equipment manufacturingindustry within the nationwide(mainly eastern coastal provinces and the centralregion), which leads out the results that the competitiveness of the equipmentmanufacturing industry is poor, and the electrical machinery and equipmentmanufacturing industry and the transportation equipment manufacturing industry arethe dominant industries in Jiangxi province. Following, it uses of the RCA index ofthe single evaluation method and the dynamic comprehensive evaluation methodbased on the temporal operator to evaluation the equipment manufacturing industry ofJiangxi province. As well, an indicator system that includes the production capacity,the market development ability, the profit ability, the equipment capacity and themanagement ability, is constructed. In here, it obtains the result that the electricalmachinery and equipment manufacturing industry competitiveness is competitive in our country. Finally, based on the analysis results, it proposes the developmentcountermeasure suggestions of the equipment manufacturing industry in Jiangxiprovince, which include the classification research, strengthening the industrialclusters, improving the enterprise technological innovation capability and increasinggovernment support efforts.
