Liaoning Equipment Manufacturing Industry Core Competitiveness Analysis And Countermeasure Research

As an important carrier of national economic growth, equipment manufacturingindustry provides important support for the technological transformation and structureupgrading of other traditional industrial sectors. As China’s old industrial base,Liaoning owns a strong industrial base, and its equipment manufacturing system ismore perfect in terms of size, value, market competitiveness. Liaoning equipmentmanufacturing industry has been in rapid growth, yet some problemes such as theuneven development of the industry, less technological innovation capability are alsovery protruding. In some aspects such as output, market concentration, industrygrowth capabilities, industry profitability and efficiency indicators of economicindicators, the gap between Liaoning and the developed provinces including theYangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta, was gradually expand.This paper focused on enhancing the competitiveness of Liaoning equipmentmanufacturing. Based on practical problems and confusion of Lingning equipmentmanufacturing industry, aiming at constructing the core competitiveness indexsystem, this paper concentrated on the analysis of influencing factors of Liaoningequipment manufacturing industry. Author puts forward practical and workablepolicies and measures on the cluster development, management innovation, systeminnovation in this paper. Specifically, this paper is divided into four parts.The first part introduced research background, research status, the significance ofresearch, research methods, the basic structure, the main content, and a briefdescription on innovation and inadequacies of the paper.The second part described the development situation of Liaoning equipmentmanufacturing industry and performed SWOT analysis. Firstly, it quantitativelyanalyzed geographical distribution, industry distribution, FDI distribution of Liaoningequipment manufacturing industry. It comprehensively analyzed the scale of Liaoningequipment manufacturing industry, horizontal, achievements and existing problemsthrough multi-index. Then, using a SWOT analysis, this paper carries out a study onstrengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats of Liaoning equipmentmanufacturing industry, and specifically elaborated external environment and theconstraints, in order to understand the strengths, deficiencies found, seizeopportunities better, meet the challenges and realize sustained and rapid developmentof Liaoning equipment manufacturing industry.The third part empirically analyzed the core competitiveness of Liaoning equipment manufacturing industry. Firstly, this paper adopted the method of principalcomponents analysis to calculate and sort Liaoning and other provinces (cities)composite score, and then intuitively showed the scale, market size, efficiency andlevel of technology transformation and innovation. Secondly, it clearly analyzedcompetitiveness of Liaoning equipment manufacturing, using Multiple index, such asthe contribution rate of total assets, asset-liability ratio, the profit margin of costs, andso on to measure the levels of Liaoning equipment manufacturing industry and makea comparative analysis between Liaoning and other provinces (cities). Third, thispaper analyzed and interpretated technology innovation capability of Liaoningequipment manufacturing industry, by building evaluation index system whichincludes three senior level indexes of Innovation input, innovation output and policysupport, nine second level index of innovation output, policy support, R&D funding,the costs for introduction and absorption of innovative sources of funding, and so on.Based on industry data, this paper completely measured advantages and disadvantagesof Liaoning equipment manufacturing, and performed inter-provincial comparativeanalysis on technological innovation capability.The fourth part put forward measures and suggestions on improving the corecompetitiveness of Liaoning equipment manufacturing industry\, including thefeasibility of response and how to implement it.This paper furthermore enriched research on the field of equipmentmanufacturing industry, and found problems and deeper influencing factors, providedexperience reference and theoretical reference for breaking bottlenecks in thedevelopment of this industry and real confusion.
