Influence Research On Industry Convergence To The Industrial Competitiveness Of Chinese Equipment Manufacturing

At present, Chinese equipment manufacturing industry is developing rapidly, the industrial scale jumps to the forefront of the world, and the ability of technical innovation has enhanced significantly, as well as the industrial structure is optimized constantly. As a result, the international competitiveness increases steadily. However, comparing with developed countries, the competitiveness of Chinese equipment manufacturing industry still have a big gap, therefore, the concept of industry convergence is introduced into the plan of developing the equipment manufacturing industry, promoting the integration of the equipment manufacturing industry and high-tech industry as to improve the overall quality of the industry.This paper analyses qualitatively the influence of industry convergence to industry competitiveness based on the theory of industry competitiveness and industry convergence. Then, measuring the industry convergence degree of Chinese equipment manufacturing industry and high-tech industry from 2002 to 2012 based on objective and subjective weighting method. Finally, this paper analyses quantitatively the direction and degree that the industry convergence degree of two industries influences industry competitiveness of Chinese equipment manufacturing industry by means of vector auto regression method.The result of the empirical analysis shows:(1)during the period of 2002 to 2012,the industry convergence degree of Chinese equipment manufacturing industry and high-tech industry increases year by year,but the annual rate is different.(2)during the period of 2002 to 2012,the industry competitiveness of Chinese equipment manufacturing industry presents the state of fluctuation, but the overall trend is rising.(3)The influence of the industry convergence degree of two industries to industry competitiveness of Chinese equipment manufacturing industry is positive, that is to say, to a certain extent, promoting the industry convergence degree of two industries is in favor of improving industry competitiveness of Chinese equipment manufacturing industry.Finally, the paper puts forward the suggestions to improve the industry competitiveness of Chinese equipment manufacturing industry based on the result of the empirical analysis, providing a reference for the development of equipment manufacturing industry.
