Coal has always been the major form of energy consumption and production inChina. Coal is an indispensable basic resource for economic development, soeialProgress and the advanement of modern civilization, an important strategic material inrelation with the country’s economy and national defense and security, also the basisfor the sustainable economic and social development. With the development of reformand opening up, many fundamental has changed in lots of fields such as economy andsociety,the sector of energy is also facing a variety of challenges,which willconsequently lead to changes in the consumption, efficiency and porduction structionof coal resources. To make scientific analysis and forecast on the changes in thedemand and supply of coal in China is an important significance for the formulationof proper energy development planning, securing the realization of the nation’sstrategic goal and the construciton of a harmonious energy-saving society.This text, based on the analysis on the the current situation of coal’s supply,demand, transportation, alternative energy, environment and other factors, makessimulation and decision analysis on issues in relation with coal’s demand and supplyin China as the following presengs:As coal is non-renewable and non-clear resouce, analysis on supply and demand,the problems of the coal supply and demand are not limit to supply and requistioningparties, it also involve environment, energy security, transportation, alternative energysources and so on. Since2009, China became a net importer of the coal inside a netexporter. The degree of interaction with the international coal market has beendeepened gradually. Based on System Dynamics System Complexity ResearchBetween Supply and Demand of Coal Resources in China, to predict the supply andconsumption of coal in the next20years and processed sensitively analysis. We findthat reducing both the intensity of coal consumption and the intensity of coalconsumption are good methods to reduce the coal consumption. Further, to reduce thethe intensity of coal consumption is better. Moreover, the influence of theenvironment and international coal market is simulated. It finds that reducing both theintensity of coal consumption and the intensity of coal consumption ease pressure onthe environment and enlarge the space of our country’s energy policy regulation andimprove energy security.According to the model, learned from the experience of the internationaldeveloped countries, it provides consultancy and advice, such like energy saving, straegic reserve, Adjusting the structure of energy production and consumption,paying more attention to environment, reasonable using of the international market,strengthening the government’s macro-regulatory functions and so on in order to pushforward the economic development.
