In recent years, corporate social responsibility has been one of the hot topics attracting socialconcern. Currently our economy is developing rapidly, the market keeps booming, but also a lot ofproblems emerged, such as food safety, the contradiction between people and land, etc. Peoplegradually realized that the lack of corporate social responsibility is the key reason for theseproblems. Therefore people start to appeal the corporate social responsibility. At the same time, theserious incidents of such "melamine","waste oil" and "lean" continue to take place, so the foodsafety problems of food industry has been pushed to the cusp, to fulfill their social responsibilitybecome the hot button.Based on the previous literatures’ study, the paper divides the enterprise life-cycle into fourstages, start-up, growth, maturity and decline period, and describes the stage’s characteristics of theenterprises according to life cycle theory. The paper takes Food Company as an example, under theguidance of the theory of life cycle, analyzed the general differences and similarities betweennormal enterprises and food enterprises, as well as the abilities to take the social responsibilityunder different life cycle, to face the pressure and specific embodiment. From the aspect of theconsumers, the paper researches the social responsibility of the food enterprises by using themethod of questionnaire investigation and data analysis. The paper studies different performance offood enterprises taking the social responsibilities in different life cycle, and disclosures specific andworkable social responsibility of food enterprises. At the same time, the paper puts forward the keypoints of social responsibilities in different life stage and offers some suggestions about how tofulfill the social responsibility as well. In the analysis, the writer thinks that it would be a gradualprocess when the enterprises fulfill its social responsibility. Since the enterprises will have differentviews about the social responsibilities and different abilities to fulfill their responsibilities indifferent the life cycle, the enterprises should stress on certain key points in different period. Thepaper can help the food enterprises to clear about which life stages they are in, and know well whatthe key points of the social responsibilities they should have and what kind of problems do existing, which let the managers or leaders of the enterprises be ware of their obligations, and take measuresto solve the problems completely.
