Automobile industry is an important pillar industry in national economy, andwill be the leading industry that will spur economic growth of China in a fairly longtime of future. Automobile industry is one of the most globalized industries inmodern world, and all of the powerful countries in automobile industry are bigexporting countries of automobile products. Automobile industry policy takestransforming and upgrading automobile industry from big to powerful as basicorientation. It is an important way to improve China’s general automobile industrylevel and international competitiveness to expand export of China’s automobileproducts, especially export CBU (completely built-up) with independent intellectualproperty rights and self-owned brand.This paper is divided into five parts, which firstly defines the meaning ofinternationalization, introduces research background and objectives and sets forththe basic theory of internationalization of China’s automobile industry. Then, thepaper detailedly analyzes the status quo, existing problems and developmentprospect of internationalization of China’s automobile industry. It then analyzes andconcludes development mode and general experiences of typical countries such asJapan and South Korea. Finally, the paper has put forward ways and specificmeasures for development of internationalization of China’s automobile industry.This paper is established in theory of comparative advantage, competitivenesstheory, theory of industrial organization and international experiences,systematically analyzing development mode of internationalization of China’sautomobile industry. The innovations of this paper are as follows:Systematic research of internationalization of China’s automobile industry: thepaper analyzes status quo and existing problems of internationalization of China’sautomobile industry, and systematically analyzes the major destination countries(regions) of automobile export of China.Comparative research of development of internationalization of automobileindustry of typical countries: the paper researches development ofinternationalization of automobile industry of typical countries, such as Japan andSouth Korea, and puts forward suggestions for development of internationalizationof automobile industry of China.Research of international competitiveness of China’s automobile industry:based on the analytic hierarchy process and comparative analysis, the paper conducts international competitiveness assessment of automobile industry of China,Germany, Japan and Korea.
