The Empirical Research Of The Chinese Resident Service Industry’s Employment Effect

Along with the evolution of social division of labor, the improvement of people’sliving standards, the status of the service sector is more and more prominent in theeconomy, and it has become the center of power to solve the employment problem.Resident ServiceIndustry is one of the emerging service industry,it’s characteristics arelow barriers to entry, lowrequire forcultural quality. At present,residentsservice industryin China is in its infancy,to developresident service industry will play a key role to solvethe employment problem.This thesis regards the resident service industry as the object, and analyses therelations between its development and its employment by quantitative and qualitativemethods. The full text is composed of six parts—introduction, definitions and basictheory, current situation of the resident service industry and its employment, theemployment effect’s empirical research of resident service industry in China,countermeasure and suggestion of the relations between resident service industry’sdevelopment and the employment of surplus labor,summary and outlook. Firstly, thispaper collects relevant data and tests the development of resident service industry andthe employment of it, then analyses the relationship between the two from a visual pointof view, and preliminary verify the relevant assumptions. Secondly, to establish aregression model of the output and employment of Chinese resident service industryand establishes panel fixed effects model by basing on the perspective of the nationalprovincial areas. Trough analyzing the employment effects of different region’s residentservice sector, further verify the true or false of the article preliminary assumptions，andsummarizesthe following conclusions:The first, resident service industry has the characteristic of low threshold to obtainemployments, it belongs to the low quality labor department.The second, the continuous development of resident service industry brings jobs,and it contributes to solving the problem of employment, especially to promote theemployment of low quality of labor.The third, it has regional differences for theresident service industry’semploymenteffect oflow quality labor, but the differences have no particular rule, and ithas noobvious correlationbetween the employment effect and theregion economicdevelopment level ofeastern region, central region and western region. Finally, the article puts forward feasible suggestions and targeted to drive thecoordinated development of the residentservice industry its employment.
