Analysis Of Chinese Marine Industry Employment Condition And Trend Based On Panel Data Model

At the present time, the employment problem in China is quite severe. And it does give much pressure to our society, not only the labor resource cannot be used adequately, but also it has been a destabilizing factor to the social stability. The key point of construction of modernizations and state owned enterprise innovation is whether we can solve the problem of employment and re-employment appropriately.Under studying the characteristics of Chinese marine industry employment, there is a common opinion, develop the marine industry on a large scale is an effective countermeasure against the employment pressure. So this paper makes a positive study on the effect of the development of marine industry on employment growth, in order to offer a powerful proof that the development of the t marine industry can promote the growth of employment.Paper gives the connotation and evolution of marine industry development theory at first and it also describes the present condition and superiority of China's marine industry employment. After that, paper sets out the impact factors of marine industry employment level of the 11 coastal provinces and cities of China based on Panel-data Model. On the basis of employment theory and the characteristic of marine industry development, this paper chooses variables of population, marine industry development level, urbanization level (the labor number in city/the total labor number×100%), the marine industrial make-up, policy system and income level. In order to get better result, paper chooses 11 coastal provinces and cities of China as the research sample, and the sample interval is from 1990 to 2003. Paper gets the logarithm of population, personal marine industrial output and the labor number of marine industry of each province.We also get conclusions that variables of population, marine industry development level, urbanization level, the marine industrial make-up, and income level have significant effects on the employment absorbed ability of each province, but the effects of the factors are different obviously. At the end of this paper, influence factor model and the econometrics method is carried on the forecast analysis of the potentia of country marine industry, and it drawn the conclusion that our country sea industry employment population will continue to grow fast.Based on the empirical analysis above, paper tables some proposals in order to promote the development of marine industry employment.
