Study Of Insurance Associations’ Function Against Insurance Fraud

With the rapid development of China’s insurance industry, insurance fraud is more and morerampant. It infringes the insurance consumers’ interest, erodes the benefit of the insurers andharms the healthy development of insurance industry. Therefore, in order to keeping thehealthy development of the insurance market, facing the challenge of against insurance fraudis inevitable.As an unique and important part of against insurance fraud fighters, Insurance association’sfunction cannot be ignored. In fact, China’s insurance association does not fully play itsproper functions in against insurance fraud, some aspects should be improved. It is necessaryand helpful to study the measures taken by the insurance associations of overseas insurancemarket.Studying the measures taken by the insurance associations in United States, Britain andTaiwan against insurance fraud, and learning their experience of legislation promoting, theconstruction of information exchange and sharing platform, public education, theestablishment of coalition against insurance fraud and so on, will contribute to theconstruction of against insurance fraud mechanism of the insurance industry in our country.In this paper, on the basis of comparative analysis, the idea of perfecting our country’sinsurance association’s role against insurance fraud was put forward in three aspects: topromote the construction of insurance fraud legal system, to play the function oforganization and information platform against insurance fraud.
