As a important natural source in arid and semi-arid regions, wetlands have a variety of ecological functions, such as water conservation, climatic regulation and themaintenance mechanism of biodiversity. The dynamic changes of wetlands have a great influence on regional eco-environment, economic sustainable development and human lives. Since the1950s, the area of Ebinur lake keeps reducing due to large-scale land reclamation and hydraulic engineering, it poses a serious threat to the eco-system in the north of Xinjiang. According to researches on the degenerating mechanismof eco-system in Ebinur lake, this paper analyzed the ecological and economic valueof Ebinur Lake wetland nature reserve. In addition, this paper cited cofferdam in estuaryof JingHe to analyze the ecological and economic effects after wetlands resuming.This paper provides guidance for government to make wetland protection strategieswork which will play an important role in the development of Ebinur lake area. Themain conclusions are as following:(1) The degeneration of eco-system is obvious in the wetlands of Ebinur lake. The total area of lake kept reducing from1972to2011, the degenerating area reaches115.03km2. Lake in the center of mass shifted1.23km towards the northeast. The degeneration of Low vegetation coverage and the lower vegetation coverage is also obvious, the degenerating area accounts for781.313km2, which leads to a striking fragmentation in Vegetation landscape and a rise in spatial heterogeneity. The main factorsinclude climate warming, large-scale land reclamation, hydraulic engineering and excessive population growth.(2) In Ebinur Lake wetland nature reserve, the value of ecosystem services mainly is indirect use value. The total value of ecosystem services is33.54Ă—108yuan in2011. The most valuable service is climate regulation and the least valuable service ispest control. the proportion of the total value of these services in descending order are: climate regulation> environment purification> water storage> habitat> soil conservation> gas purification> nutrient accumulation> substance product> science and technology> pest control.(3) As a effective measurement to restore wetland, cofferdam makes a certain contribution to economy, which improves that it should be spread widely. In Jing riverestuary, vegetation and soil have restored with varied success. Water content in cofferdam is much higher than Recovering area.In50cm-60cm soil layer,there is an obvious difference,The averages oil organic matter in cofferdam is higher than Recovering a rea about4.73mg/kg, the soil pH value is between7.86to8.35.The average soil pH value is lower than Recovery Area about0.8. The ecological environment in Recovery.Area is good, the variety of plants change gradually from xerophyte to hydrophyte.The surface features have not been changed by project of cofferdam. But the varietyof plants is tending towards to simplification.
