The Research On Competitiveness Of Jiangsu’s Civil Aviation Transportation Industry In Eastern China

Civil aviation transportation industry is an important component of national economy, civilaviation transportation industry plays a powerful role in the development of the national economy,industrial competitiveness is the important way to measure for the development of civil aviationtransportation industry. Jiangsu Province is one of the fastest-growing regions in Eastern China thatprovides a giant interspace for the development of civil aviation industry of Jiangsu Province.Promulgation of “civil aviation industry of Jiangsu Province Planning (12th five-year plan-2020)"and other policies plan a long-term program on the development of regional civil aviation industry inJiangsu Province. The three production index Jiangsu civil aviation ranked the fifth, the fourth and thethird in the Eastern China in2012, which compared with its economic level, lags behind thedevelopment level of the civil aviation industry in Jiangsu, not reflecting the development andpromotion between the economic and the civil aviation market. In this context, for the betterdevelopment of civil aviation market of Jiangsu Province in the future, in-depth and multi-level civilaviation transportation industry competitiveness research is especially important.Aiming at the problem, the civil aviation transportation industry competitiveness in Jiangsu wasstudied in this paper. First of all, based on the theory of the existing literature, the current situation ofcivil aviation transportation industry of Jiangsu Province was system and in-depth analyzed. Then,according to the theory of literature, the five elements model of the civil aviation transportationindustry competitiveness in Jiangsu was built. A quantitative evaluation tool of the civil aviationtransportation industry competitiveness in Jiangsu Province tools-super efficiency DEA model wasbuilt with inputs from the dimension of people,goods,content and outputs from a financial andproduction volume dimension. The empirical analysis shows that most of the relative efficiency valueof the civil airport are valid. The highest efficiency value of Jiangsu Province is Nantong xingdongairport, Huaian Lianshui airport is relatively ineffective in2010, but it has a high efficiency value in2011;the efficiency value of Nanjing Lukou airport is effective in the east China;the rest airports inputand output arerelatively ineffective.
