Research On Variation And Influencing Factors For Total Factor Productivity Of Civil Aviation Transportation Industry In China

Civil aviation transportation industry is an important basic industry of the national economy, is an organic part of comprehensive transportation system. With the strategy of power civil aviation step by step, the speed of China's civil aviation transportation industry development is very fast. However, compared the industry of civil aviation in China with developed countries, high input and high consumption of production factors didn't get high income and high output corresponding. At present, the extensive mode of operation impact on efficiency of the aviation industry production seriously, therefore, it has important theoretical and practical significance of researching on production efficiency and total factor productivity of civil aviation industry.Based on the panel data of China's five major aviation company, the article analyses the TFP change of civil aviation transportation industry as well as the five major airlines for quantitative, using DEA and Malmquist index based on DEA method. Firstly, this paper analyses the super efficiency change of China's civil aviation transportation industry,using DEA-SOLVER. It concludes that the production efficiency of China's civil aviation transportation industry in the last two years has been greatly improved and is in a valid state more than a few years ago being produced invalid.Secondly, this paper analyses of the technical efficiency, pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency of airline company from the static point of view, using DEA-BBC. Lastly, this paper analyzes the TFP of five airlines,using Malmquist index method, from the dynamic point of view. Based on the analysis of Malmquist index, the TFP growth of civil aviation transportation industry is mainly caused by the increasing technical efficiency index, and the overall technical efficiency did not have an obvious effect on the total factor productivity, and even produces an unfavorable effect.Therefore, airlines should introduce a series of advanced management mode in the future and make the comprehensive technical efficiency plays a positive role. The paper puts forward comments and suggestions to promote the development of airlines in the future.
