The Analysis Of The Efficiency Of Civil Aviation Industry

As an important component of the integrated transportation system and an important basic industry of the national economy, the civil aviation industry developed rapidly with the strategic of air power. But the efficiency is based on high input and the transport capacity has not been fully utilized. There are many factors affected the efficiency, such as government regulation, technology, market competition and internal management. Therefore, the study of the efficiency of the civil aviation has important theoretical and practical significance. This paper describes the development of the industry and analyzes the situation with the industrial organization theory. Then, data envelopment analysis method is used to the empirical analysis of the efficiency of civil aviation. And, through regression analysis, it showed that government regulation, market concentration and management dominates the performance, while the technical level has no significant effect on its efficiency. Finally, based on the above analysis, there are some suggestions to improve the efficiency of civil aviation industry.
