| With the warming climate, shortage of resources, and the deterioration of livingenvironment becoming the focus attention of global. As in the post-industrial period,China’s industrial development must target on energy saving and emission reduction,and the promotion of low carbon economy mode of production. As an importantindustrial economy development sector, Metal Smelting plays a vital role foreconomic development, and its typical characteristics are energy-intensive, highpolluting, high emissions, which decides that it must be the key area of energy savingand emission reduction. Therefore, in view of the unit energy consumption,researching energy saving and emission reduction of the metal smelting industry andmeasuring out energy consumption and energy-saving potential of iron and steelindustry and aluminium industry of different regions.It is very significant forachieving the rational use of energy in China, and improving air quality and livingenvironment.This study takes the iron and steel industry and aluminum industry of metalsmelting industry as the research objects.It starts from the status quo of energyconsumption of iron and steel industry and aluminium industry; then deconstructingthe comprehensive energy consumption of per ton steel, comprehensive energyconsumption of alumina, aluminum integrated AC power consumption, anddistincting the role of different energy in each procedure and its proportion of energy.And according to the unit energy consumption of iron and steel industry andaluminium industry in each province, we can give the discrepancy of energy demandof each province. And then based on the learning curve model, we give the REC,which is raised fron time evolution of unit energy consumption. Combined with thedata of iron and steel industry from2000to2011, the data of aluminum industry from2005to2013, we can estimate unit energy consumption, energy structure and energysaving of different regions and show total coal consumption, consumption of kinds ofcoal and amount of coal saving of iron and steel industry in2011; so does thealuminum industrial, which the total energy consumption and energy saving in2013.Finally, we estimate the comprehensive energy consumption of per ton steel, total coalconsumption, different kinds of coal consumption and energy saving of the wholecountry in2020, so it is with the comprehensive energy consumption of alumina,aluminum integrated AC power consumption, different energy consumotion and energy saving of aluminum industry. Thus we can analysis energy consumption andenergy saving potential in-depth comparative of metal smelting industry in china.Through the analysis, this paper get the following conclusions:(1)Unit eneryconsumption obey the learning curve effect in the evolution of time. Compared withreality, using the relative energy saving curve for the forecast of energy saving effectis accurate,which means the prediction method is scientific.(2)The total energyconsuption of metal smelting industry in our country is480million tons standard coalin2020, among it, the energy consumption of iron and steel industry is nearly450million tons standard coal, the energy consumption of Aluminium is3.15million tonsstandard coal, while the energy consumption of electrolytic aluminium industry is33.32million tons standard coal. Iron and steel industry is still the main energyconsumption industry and it accounted for about90percent of total energyconsumption.(3)The total energy saving amount of metal smelting in our country is420million tons standard coal in2020, among it, the energy saving of iron and steelindustry is nearly300million tons standard coal, the energy saving of Aluminium is1million ton standard coal. while the energy saving of aluminium industry is130million tons standard coal. Iron and steel industry accounted for about70percent oftotal energy saving amount and has made a great contribution to energy saving ofmetal smelting industry. |
