The former cost and energy consumption account for about 70% cost and energy of an iron and steel joint enterprise. The dust pollutants and the gas produced before smelting for iron also account for more than 91% of cost and consumption. In order to reduce costs, the sources of pollution must be controlled and the clean production technology before ironmaking must be carried out. Through the analysis of clean production of LongMen Iron and Steel Corporation ,clean production may be transformed from a theoretical concept into practical results, making LongMen steel enterprise have a better profit, making the managers have a more explicit requirements.No.1 BF of LongMen Iron and Steel Corporation has been in a serious production. Considering both the metallurgical properties and the energy utilization condition of raw materials of No.1 blast furnace, in view of its present situation of high energy consumption, the reduction potence of energy consumption under present smelting conditions was analyzed, and the effective reduction methods of energy consumption were determined . The main conclusions are as follows:(1) No.1 blast furnace of LongMen Iron and Steel Corporation can achieve the goal of saving energy and reducing consumption through raising the level of beneficiated materials, applying higher pulverized coal injection ratio, smelting with low silicon and so on.(2) Iron and steel industry is a major part of energy consumption, and the energy consumption is mainly coal and coke. Energy saving can not only bring the economic benefits for the enterprise, but also protect the resources and environment. It is an important part of clean production. Based on the heat balance and material balance ,the theoritical lowest carbon of ratio of No.1 B.F. of LongMen Iron and Steal is calculated. It shows that the blast furnace efficiency is 82.17%, utilization coefficient of heat is 61.49%, The potential of lowering the fuel is 50 kg/t.(3) Iron and steel industry is one of the main industries of high consumption, high emission and high environmental loads. In order to achieve sustainable development and clean production, the rough economic development mode must be changed, clean production must be put into practice.
