| As one kind of management models, Supply Chain Management (SCM) can helpcompanies optimize workflow, improve efficiency and the relationships with partners,establish strategic alliances with other companies, adjust resources allocation, focus oncore competencies, introduce information technologies, optimize performance and collectdata, which have got a wide recognition, and have been used in industries, such as trading,retailing and so on.Processing Trading Industry in Ningbo are mainly consist of Small and MediumEnterprises (SMEs), the number of their amount is numerous, while their scale is lower,but occupy a larger proportion of regional economy. Since2001, several processingtrading enterprises in Ningbo began to introduce SCM ideas to drive industrialdevelopment, both the government and business units have adopted relevant measures topromote the introduction of SCM, there are three types of enterprises, which have adoptedSupply Chain Management to make business. However, since the time of applying wasnot long, there are still many problems existed, such as the core corporations are short ofinternational brands and the role of manger in SCM has not been impressed. Due to thelevel of technology and management are lower, there are many difficult for small andmedium enterprises to develop SCM in a short time.Li&Fung group‘s SCM model have developed for about30years, which is learnedby many industries and companies. Li&Fung pattern focus on upstream and downstreamin the SCM to build its core business and have lots of successful experiences. According toLi&Fung pattern, processing trading enterprises should clear their position firstly, andthen choose the proper SCM pattern for themselves to have a higher level development inthe future. |
