With more than100years of history since1906, Hong Kong Li&Fung Group wasfounded a century ago, from the beginning, a small Chinese-owned trading companyevolved into more than forty countries around the world set up branches and offices in morethan seventy cross-border trade international company, while Li&Fung group annual saleshas nearly135billion U.S. dollars. Experienced Mr. Feng three generations constantlycreate and innovate, purchasing agent from a simple evolution to a global supply chainmanager’s role. In today’s volatile external environment continue to improve, improve andenhance and augment this supply chain, the formation of the world’s consumer productsunique core competitive advantage.To futher state and analyze how Li&Fung truly grew into an international companywith supply chain management mode from an orginal regional imp&exp company and howLi&Fung achieve its core competitiveness–supply chain management in consumableindustry, throug its marketing strategy and vertical and level merger and acquisition, againstbackground of market and client orientation, this article bases on theories, including conceptof suppy chain, motive of acquisition and merger, leveraged theory, the theory ofcompetitive advantage by Porter, and method, such as environment and trend, industrystructure, competitive advantage, with the combination of Li&Fung’s ealier days andgrowing process.
