Research On The Whole System To Promote Million Mu Of High-Yield Rice Demonstration Fields Of Quanan Town, Nanxiong City In Guangdong Province

Since2012, because of the global frequency of extreme weather, serious disasters occur in the world’s major grain producing countries at the same time, making food security in the world sound the alarm once again. China is the world’s largest rice producer and consumer. Rice plays an important role in China’s grain production. However, since the mid-1990s, China’s rice yield began stagnating, with the increasing number of China’s population, shrinking amount of arable land, and the pressure is also growing to maintain sustained growth of agricultural production. Only by relying on the progress of agricultural science and technology and the human capital accumulation can we increase productivity, so as to ensure the sustained and stable growth of agricultural production. In2008, some provinces and cities in China started the Whole System to promote Million Mu of high-yield rice demonstration fields, which has shown good yield potential and yielded significantly. In the case that the currently decreasing arable land, increasing resource constraints, and the deteriorating ecological environment the practice to promote vigorously the Whole System to promote Million Mu of high-yield rice demonstration is an important way to improve the yield of rice, ease the pressure of population growth on the environment, maximize to tap the resource potential, ensure the effective supply of food security, improve the economic efficiency of grain farmers and promote agricultural technology innovation needs.
