A Research On The Affecting Factors And Hierarchy In Energy Efficiency About Big Developing Countries

With the sustained growth of the economy and increasing demand for energy in the developing countries, raise energy efficiency has become increasingly urgently. Based on the date from1992to2009,first this paper estimated the energy efficiency of the ten developing countries using Super-Efficiency DEA-Malmquist,and then analyzed the influence factors of energy efficiency and the hierarchical effects of then with multilevel statistical model. The factors of affecting the energy efficiency research to get the attention of the researchers, scientific analysis of the influence factors of energy efficiency and its hierarchical effects have important guiding significance to China’s economic reform and industrial transformation and upgrading. On the basis of forefathers’research this paper introduces multiple statistical model which makes an empirical analysis on the influencing factors of energy efficiency. Multiple statistical model effectively handle with layer structure of the application of data, to distinguish between the individual and system levels in the data, so as the difference between directly influence factors and systemic factors.The results indicated that the proportion of the tertiary industry, the proportion of foreign direct investment participation and alternative energy sources has a significant positive relationship to the promotion of energy efficiency, at the same time, the national quality of a country, urbanization rate, research and development ability and the education investment has the systematic influence on energy efficiency. Adjusting industrial structure, developing alternative energy are important approaches to improve energy efficiency, which is influenced by the education investment, national quality and R&D ability.At the same time, through the study of this article, the scientific understanding of energy efficiency between the influencing factors of the level of relations is conducive to China’s economic reform policies, industrial policy formulation and optimization of economic structure.
