Applied Research On Logistics Demand Forecast In M Company

With the diversification of customer needs, the fierce competition of differentcompany, the development of the concept of global manufacturing, lean production havebeen implemented in various fields in manufacturing companies, lean thinking has beenrecognized in manufacturing enterprises. Logistics is the part of manufacturing process. Inthe21st century, we recognized it as "the third profit source".All the companies hope that through divided, quantitative management to improve thelevel of logistics management, reduce costs in the logistics filed. The companies have beenseeking solutions on imbalances and uncertainty problem of carrier for carrying goodsLogistics demand forecast volume. Therefore, this paper through the studies of logisticsdemand forecasting, establish the logistics demand forecasting model, and validate demandforecasting model by M company’s logistics data and optimize the model.In this paper, base on the logistics demand forecasting theory, research on logisticsdemand forecast and application in the enterprise. Firstly, by reading theory and analysis ofdomestic and international logistics demand forecasting studies and relevant background,define the clear research questions, purpose and meaning; secondly, introduce logisticsdemand forecasting theory, logistics demand forecasting methods and limitations,summary domestic and international research; Finally, by practical application in Mcompany, to simulate and establish carrier demand forecasting model and describes themodeling procedure verified carrier logistics demand forecasting model, and analyze theprediction error, optimize the model.Through detail analysis and applied research, this paper says the logistics demandforecast for enterprises can strengthen internal logistics management, which is also aneffective forecasting tool that forecast relatively accurate demand of the logistics demand.It is a good solution for solve internal logistics demand imbalance and uncertainty. It alsoprovides a simple and feasible method to forecast carrier demand for all the company.
