| Recently, urbanization has become an important subject of urban construction and development, rapid urbanization provides a powerful motivation for economic development, but it also causes a series of social issues such as the disorderly expansion of urban space and the chaos of urban spatial structure. Shangri-La country has stepped in the stage of rapid development and faced a rapid-expansion demanding of urban space, accompany with sustain-growing branding of Shangri-La in a atmosphere of strong growth of global tourism industry and the scarcity of high-quality resources and environment. Urban growth boundary is a effective policy tool in the management of urban space growth, which also provides a positive effect on the relief of resource constraint and sharp contradictions between economic development needs.The paper states the research objective and significance, started by studying the background of urban growth boundary, and refines its definition and research scope. Then it explains the connotation and function of urban growth boundary in details, and introduces its component and division principle and the main influence factors, and makes a preliminary study on the technical methods, such as the management of urban space and the setting of urban growth boundary, and introduces the C A model and Markov model theoretical system and their application status. Based on the above preparatory research work, the paper proposes a combination between the setting of urban growth boundary and Markov model theory. Besides, it makes a research on the dynamic mechanism of urban space expansion in Shangri-La country based on the country overview, and analyzes the constitution of urban growth boundary and its setting influence factors. Finally, it produces the weight atlas by adjusting the satellite image of Shangri-La country using ArcGIS software, and forecasts the urban construction land scale using IDRISI software and CA-Markov model, and preliminarily delimits the urban growth boundary of Shangri-La country, which is also compared with the urban mater planning of Shangri-La country (2010-2030). Besides, it provides management implements and controlling measures for Shangri-La country’s urban growth boundary as a reference for the management of urban space and as a effective technical method for the delimitation of urban growth boundary.Conclusions can be summarized as follows:(1) the values of urban elastic and rigid growth boundary are27.79,49.94square kilometers respectively;(2) the CA-Markov model can be used to define the other cities’ growth boundary and urban space zone and so on;(3) dynamic simulation was applied to urban planning, the define of urban growth boundary insists the basic idea of main quantitative study and supplemented qualitative analysis;(4) the paper provides certain theoretical basis for its application in the field of urban planning, and an reference for the urban space management in cities with high ecological sensitivity. |
