| Flower are popular specific products. As a sunrise industry, flower industry is a greenindustry with economic, social and ecological benefit. Chinese flower industry dated from1980s. With the rapid development of China’s national economy and the steady increase ofpeople’s income, flower industry has entered into a rapid development stage. Now flowerindustry is playing an increasingly important role in afforesting, beautifying and improvingecological environment. As one of the main ways to adjust agricultural production structureand raise rural income, it will probably become a promising sunrise industry and neweconomic growth point.Referring to the documents and data statistics about flower industry of recent2decades,and investigating the enterprise, farmers and flower market in Shandong’s crucial flowerproduction areas, this article analyzes the development of Chinese flower industry, dynamicmotivation, problems as well as future development trend in detail, and also puts forwardstrategies and suggestions in developing Chinese flower industry, which will provide thescientific basis and information for flower production sales. The research proves that:(1) In past two decades, Chinese Flower planting area increased by18-fold,30-foldincrease in sales, showing the rapid development of flower industry. Flowers output per unitarea on the rise. Changes in flower exports are less stable, although the overall trend isincreasing, but less overall.(2) Chinese flower products are changing to diversify,Including cut flowers, potted plants,ornamental nursery stock, lawn seed bulbs and seedlings with flowers, dried flowers, edibleflowers and medicinal, industrial and other uses flowers dozen types of flowers.Of which thelargest proportion of ornamental nursery stock, about half,followed by potted plants, cutflowers and other flowers. The main types of flowers: ornamental nursery stock, cut flowers,potted plants acreage and sales showed year by year growth trend, which ornamental nurserystock grew more rapidly, cut flowers and potted plants will grow more slowly, but the exportof cut flowers and potted plants is better.(3) Chinese flower industry operating entity as a whole increased year by year, thenumber of flower market increased by nearly1times,the number of florists,medium-sizedenterprises and professional and technical personnel has greatly increased, nearly4times,but the proportion of enterprises in flower business and employees is still small.(4) In recent years, the flower industry of Shandong Province has been developingrapidly, flower planting area and output grew year by year, Comprehensive strength of theflower industry Located at the top. By investigating the development of flower industry inQing Zhou, He Ze, Ping Yin of the focus of flower production areas in Shandong Province,the results showed that the flower industry of the three flower production areas has madegreat strides, but there are many problems, the lack of measures and mechanisms to promotethe healthy development of flowers made their own flower industry restricted.(5) Development of flower industry analysis from two motives: slow growth in theflower industry mainly dues to low level of consumption, cultural traditions and the affectionof consumption habits; main reason for the rapid growth is greatly enhanced level ofconsumption, the national implementation of agricultural structure adjustment, large-scaleurban construction, adjustment of the layout of the world’s flower production.(6) Chinese flower industry will continue to show a relatively fast pace, floral output perunit area will continue to increase. The proportion of medium-sized enterprises andprofessionals will be improved. Currently the flower production of the world trend graduallyshift from the developed to developing countries, international trade of Chinese flower will befurther active, import and export volume will increase significantly.(7) Flower product quality improved steadily. The specialization degree is deepening,The sales system is strengthening primarily and the industry chain is improving gradually,thelevel of scientific research improved and the planting technology becomes mature, Supportpolicy promulgates one after another. Compared with developed countries, there is still farmore to go. We are faced with problems like insufficient Flower consumption power, unsoundtechnical support system, and lack of professional talent, unsound market system, andimperfect industry management system as well as weak macro guidance. On the existingissues, it also put forwards some strategies to speed up China’s horticulture development thatthe government should strengthen and improve the support and service function,macroeconomic regulation and management and the construction of the base, and thegovernment also should promote the combination of production and research, strengthenpersonnel training, improve market system and running mechanism and improve thedistribution network. |
