The grain drying center is one of the essential service enterprises for country and agriculture. The rain in Autumn in some years is more so that their storage requirements can not be achieved; or farmers need harvest the grain in advance in order to sell food in the good price. In the both cases, the food drying is needed so as to reach the standard of storage or sale. However, in some areas, the location of the grain drying center isn’t reasonable, and can’t satisfay the needs of users in near region so as to result in a waste of resources. Effective location selection can greatly improve the efficiency and reduce the time of grain circulation, and can make the funds return more quickly and increase their income. As the same time, it also provide the more high-efficient and convenient service. Therefore, the research of grain drying center location selection has important practical significance so that it attracts the concern of the majority of experts and scholars.In this paper, the grain drying center location is studied deeply. Based on the analysis of domestic and foreign research status of grain dying center location, the influencing factors, principles, current methods, precautions and steps and so on are indicated; the model of grain dying center location is modeling based on the immune algorithm, and the solution method of the model is also given. The detailed contents of study are as follows:First, based on the analysis of relevant literatures, the functions of grain dying center, influencing factors, the principles followed, methods used commonly and the steps of its location selection are stated. At the same time, the existent problems and precaustions are indicated in grain dying center location selection.Secondly, the concepts, principles, characteristics and so on of immune algorithm are introduced. The mode of grain dying center location selection is put forward based on the immune algorithm. At the same time, the solving methods and procedures of the model are also given.Finally, the model is applied to actual case. The case studys the locatioin probems of30villages in TX county that considers these factors such as the distances, service quantities, and operationg costs and can obtain the global optimal solution in the region, and the matlab software is applied for programming and computing.
