Third-party logistics enterprises in economic development occupy an increasingly important position, which will effectively improve the condition of existing logistics companies, providing low-cost, full range of professional logistics services. As an important sub-node, distribution centers have gradually aroused extensive attention of society and enterprises. Site selection and choice of vehicle routing of distribution center has important strategic significance in the layout plan of the distribution center, to a certain extent determines the operating results and future development of the third-party logistics distribution center. So, how to choose the location of distribution centers and a reasonable path planning has obvious practical significance to reduce the total cost of third-party logistics enterprises and promote long-term development.Firstly, this paper studies the concept and classification of the third party logistics and distribution center, and analyzes the factors on the location of distribution center and the location principle and the principle of path optimization. For the two echelon location-routing problem, this paper builds a multi-objective distribution center location-routing model. The objective functions are to minimize the primary and secondary facility location cost and fixed cost of vehicles and transportation. Then, use the tabu search (TS) algorithm to compute location and number of two echelon devices, related distribution route loading capacity and distribution routing problem. Using tabu search algorithm to solve two echelon location routing problem, first, the problem is decomposed into two sub problems based on different paths, and then each sub problem are decomposed into facility location problem (CFLP) and multi site vehicle routing problem (MDVRP). In the heuristic calculation process, the uses of nested iteration method for calculating the four sub-problems results are integrated, so that we can get the total results. Finally, for a third party logistics enterprises of auto parts to carry out simulation analysis, and TS algorithms are used in small, medium and large cases and the results were compared and analyzed. The results show that, in most examples, using TS algorithm is more effective. Therefore, the model and algorithm proposed in this paper to improve the third party logistics enterprise logistics management level and has important practical significance for reducing the operational costs.
