Nowadays people are participating more often in sports and recreational activities to enrich their spiritual world. One type of those sports to satisfy their spiritual needs is the horse related racing, performing or petting. The competitive horses are normally used for the athletic horses racing. This type of horse is different from the traditional type of riding type horse. It is more competitive equestrian specialized, and it is higher required than the traditional riding sports. From taxes and employment to promote the development of related industries can explain the economic importance of competitive horses and social importance.This paper collected modern speed horse industry related information, analyzed the current situation and existing problems of speed horse industry in China, and puts forward the solutions. At the same time analyzed the number of horses of our country from1949to2013years with SPSS19.0application software, and predict the number of horses in2025. The results for5.864million horses. The results show that our country keep down from the number, the horses continue to reduce the number of trend. But almost no significant change in70years.Modern sport horse industry is facing serious challenges in China. Sport horses are the subject of modern sport horse industry. However, the price of competitive horse in China is always sky-high and those horses are mostly auctioned introduced from oversea. Currently, China has not yet developed a race of economical horse which is similar to British thoroughbred horse. In this background conditions, independently developing and cultivating excellent performance competitive horse is crucial. In this context, it is imperative, our technicians learn advanced experience from other horse industry in developed countries, our country’s rich horse resource advantage into full play, breed capable of competitive burden and high compatibility of a new type horse breeds to meet market needs. Authors on how to find a suit China’s national conditions, operation and development of effective ways of competitive breed of horse, protection, use and promotion of the existing competitive horses and improve their economic and social benefits, such as put forward their own views. Domestic application of modern sport horse industry in the athletic horse performance requirements, information management, evaluation, analysis and discussion has been done, hoping for the popularization of Chinese competitive horse provides valuable production bases.China needs give strong supports to the athletic competitive horses breeding and form the system of the related industrial chain.
