Research On The Development Of Policy Forest Insurance In Guangxi

In recent years,our country carried out the pilot work of policy forest insurance,and included the forest insurance into the scope of national policy insurance premium subsidies from2009,for the purpose of promoting the development of forest insurance business and meeting the needs of risk control for forestry. At present,25provinces and Greater Khingan Mountains Forest Group Company has been included in the scope of premium subsidies.As a large provinces of forestry, Guangxi launched the pilot work of policy forest insurance in2010,and became one of the pilot provinces of premium subsidies in2011. In the past two years, Guangxi policy forest insurance has been developed rapidly. At the same time, there is still a series of problem, such as the weak support of government, the shortage operating power of insurance company,the weak enthusiasm of farmers and so on. Therefore, it is of great guiding significance to research development mechanism and countermeasures of policy forest insurance in Guangxi.Based on the perspective of the beautiful Guangxi,this article embarked from the status on forest resources and forest insurance of Guangxi, then discussed the necessity and feasibility of developing policy forest insurance in Guangxi, and drawed the practical experience on domestic and abroad, building the business model, business entities, premium subsidies, catastrophe risk prevention system and developing safeguard measures from the perspective of government, insurance companies, forestry operators, market environment to provide a reference for promoting the development of Guangxi policy forest insurance.
