Research About Constructing San Menxia As Regional Central City Of The Golden Triangle Area Of The Yellow River In Shanxi,Shannxi And Henan Province

Regional central city is an important embodiment of the comprehensivecompetitive ability of an area, a strategic focus to push an area on urbanization andmodernization, it is also the key to actualizing regional economic and socialdevelopment. It’s an effective way to develop regional economy and urbanization thata number of provinces structure central city. The golden triangle area of the YellowRiver in Shanxi,Shannxi and Henan Province is the intersection of the central andwestern china, one of the cradles of the Chinese nation, whose traffic condition isvery convenient. This area is also the intersection of the three economic blocks whichinclude North China、Western China and Central China. Meanwhile, it is in themiddle of Longhair Economic Zone, which plays an important role as a hub forthe circulation of the whole country. As an important industrial city in this area,Sanmenxia City ‘s inner quality helps it qualify for structuring regional central city,which includes its special Geographical location, economic strength, resourceendowment, etc. Simultaneously, the structure of regional central city for SanmenxiaCity not only benefits its own development, but also provides a great pole course ofeconomy development of the golden-triangle area of the Yellow River.The main body of this paper consists of four parts. Part One, summarizes theresearch situation of domestic and international regional central city and then give abrief review. According to the general theory of regional central city, the authordefines the main features of the basic connotation and the regional central city,analyzes the function of the regional central city, the mechanism of functioningcriteria and the identify standards. Part Three, in this part, the author expand thehorizontal comparison through first evaluation, empirical analysis, induction andother methods to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the Sanmenxia City.Then the author reaches a conclusion: the develop of Sanmenxia City is balancedmakes it have geographical advantages, but it has a comparative disadvantage in theaspects of city size, industrial structure, technology research and development.
