A Study On The Model Of International Project Contracting Cooperation

The developed of international engineering contracting in China has been nearly acentury, but in recent decades it’s really into the international project contracting field.China’s earliest international engineering contracting just reflect in the subcontracting mode,did not improve to the level of the general contractor. But as the1980s, the word "economicglobalization", a term in the early90s has been widespread international recognition, webegan to realize that the door is opened to China, China’s international project contractingbusiness has been under the promoting of economic globalization ushered in a new era.Under the background of economic globalization, the international project contractingmarket competition is increasingly more fierce，the project investment larger. Requirementsfor the general contracting capacity, the integrated project management skills, the financingcapability, and the professional and technical level of demand are higher and higher. Thesimplex labor export of China can not adapt to international engineering contracting market.Thus, adopting the model of cooperation with the international outstanding enterprises turnsto be an inevitable trend. Cooperation between contracting enterprises when participating ininternational project bidding has become a good method to strengthen comprehensivecompetitive advantage, to make up for their deficiencies of resources and technologies, andto disperse and reduce the business risks. The method can suit to the international projectcontracting market better under the background of economic globalization.This article first analyzes and combs the concept, characteristics and types ofinternational project contracting. Then delimits and summarizes the traditional cooperationmodels. Afterwards, expounds the new cooperation patterns used by European andAmerican named Partnering and Alliancing. Finally, on the basis of how to choosecooperation mode, establishing and utilizing optimization model makes the cooperative modeof international engineering project more smoothly, and achieves higher profits and lowercost for China’s construction enterprises in the global market.
