The Practice Of General Contracting Management Model(DB Model) In Hydropower Project

This paper takes the construction of SanYueTan hydropower as an example to analyze the advantage of the DB general contracting model .First, from the point of view of a designer, it discusses how to ensure the designing institute to play a global role in designing, and then resolve the coordination between designing and constructing and between quality,security and the cost; Secondly, it discusses how SinoHydro engineering bureau 8 make full use of contractors'advantage in constructing,management and experiences to ensure the quality and time limit for the project, and then reduce the cost. Here, it discusses the application of the DB general contracting model in the management of construction.The DB general contracting model is the system that the DB general contractor contracts with employer to finish the project's designing and constructing, and it improves and strengthens the cooperation between designing and constructing. In this mode, being answered for designing and constructing, the DB general contractor has no choice but has to do well in designing and constructing. Therefore, the DB general contracting model brings the employer higher quality, shorter time of limit and smaller cost, and then offers the employer more reward.
