Economic belt is an economic unit obi,with the development economic belt and the developmentof social, economic belt development attracted enough attention of sociologists and economists,it is notonly related to environmental problem including environmental pollution, water depletion,over-exploitation of natural resources, but also socio-economic issues named coordinated regionaldevelopment..China is big enough to have many rivers,and most of them are the east-west.The largerbasins across a variety of terrain and different economic zone in levels and property of china.Adding thatchina is in an important period what is speeding up economic development, promote social harmony,implement the scientific development ideology,the research of basin economic,the development ofwatershed management is with greater significance.The yellow river originated the Tibetan Plateau in the west,east to Shandong province,into theBohai Sea，over5400km,and it is the second longest river in china.The Yellow river is the mother river ofchina and the Economic Belt of Yellow River is the birthplace of Chinese civilization,Area covered by theYellow River civilization is much larger than the range of the Yellow River Basin present.In this paper,considering the bearing area of the Yellow River civilization, while ensuring complete provincialadministrative units,we determine Economic Belt of Yellow River, basin based on the nature of the YellowRiver basin,including11provincial-level administrative units,named Qinghai, Ningxia, Gansu, Shanxi,Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Henan, Hebei, Shandong, Beijing and Tianjin. Economic Belt of Yellow Riverbasin is the most important regional carriers of Chinese civilization,the historical sites maximum,intangibleheritage gathering and it is the most concentrated areas of Chinese ancient capital, eight ancient capitals insix of China is here.Since the Sui and Tang dynasties,china’s economic center of gravity began to movesouth with southern rice production increase,after the founding,especially since the reform and openingup,the sustained and rapid development of Southeast coast making the northern economicbackwardness,although there are rich natural resources and historical&cultural landscape.Although china’sgravity of political center, especially the capitals have been in the Economic Belt of Yellow River,but mostof the northern region’s economic backwardness still have a greater impact on building a socialist harmonious society.Thus explore the spatial distribution of population and economic patterns of theEconomic Belt of Yellow River and analysis of spatial differences has far-reaching significance for narrowregional differences, building a harmonious society and the protection and development of historical andcultural resources.In this paper,we can get the following conclusions By analysis the population and economicevolution of temporal and spatial in2001-2010of Yellow River Economic Belt:The distribution of population and economic is extremely uneven in Yellow River EconomicBelt,and the population is serious than the economic,however the difference were reduced tendency duringthe study period.The both gravity are northward migration and the gravity of economic center presents areverse "Z" type migration,migrated to the northwest59,683.26m.The gravity of population presented initalics "I",migrated to the northeast54503.52m.Per capita GDP quadrupled,the average annual growth rate of15.32%in Economic Belt ofYellow Riverer2001-2010,much higher than the national average.Better economic regional mainly inBeijing, Tianjin and the Bohai Bay in Shandong Peninsula，then the North China Plain and the capital cityof Northwest China.The fastest growing economic region mainly in Alashanqi,Erdos,Hohhot,Haixi,Tibetan and parts of Shanxi and Shaanxi.Mineral resources is the momentum in theseareas to achieve leapfrog development,but these areas can not drive the development of region around,andHH-type region is still in the Tianjin-Tangshan region and Shandong Peninsula.The population density is121.32129.91people/km2in2001,124.57129.91people/km2in2005and to129.91people/km2in2010.Eastern population density is greater than the western,and it is is verysimilar with spatial distribution of economic and the terrain.The distribution of the population is mainlyaffected by the topography in Large-scale,and by the economic impact in small-scale.By coupling analysis showed that the regions that economic advanced type are mainly located inthe eastern part,with vigorously develop resource-based cities of Northwest such as Inner Mongolia, Shanxiand Shanxi,these areas gradually became economic advanced type,especially in Inner Mongolia Erdos andAlashanqi,has become the economic polarized region.Then,coupled spatial autocorrelation say thateconomic polarized region gathered in Beijing, Tianjin, Shandong Peninsula.The lagging economy areamainly in the southern region of Ningxia, Shanxi and Shaanxi. Economic Belt of Yellow Riverer Basin still faced the grim regional imbalance,the main issues tobe addressed may be resource-based cities in transition,coordinated regional development,development andprotection of historical and cultural resources and eco-environmental protection and sustainabledevelopment.
