Study On The Spatial-temporal Pattern Of Henan’s Undertaking Industrial Transfer

After the2008financial crisis, the international industrial transfer has entered a newstage, The fourth industrial transfer has begun all around the world, This shift is mainlytransferred from some developed countries and China’s eastern coastal areas which were theIndustry transfer recipient areas of last transfer to central and western regions of our country.Central plains economic zone and economic comprehensive experimental zone of zhengzhouairport have risen to the national strategy,besides Henan has built180industry clusterzones, providing a much bigger carrier and platform for henan province to undertake industrialtransfer. In2012, through a series of major investment activities, henan signing contract value of1.4495trillion yuan, the actual introduction province capital of502.66billion yuan,with year-on-year growth of25.2%. Under this background, to analyze the space and time patternof henan undertaking industrial transfer is of great significance to the dynamic mechanismanalysis and policy adjustment for henan to undertake industrial transfer.This research relying on the social science major research project "undertake industrialtransfer and the henan industrial concentration area clustering development research" in henanprovince hosted by my mentor, using TOPSIS analysis method, Shift-Share Analysis Methodand industrial transfer undertake Index to analyzed Henan’s undertaking the industries transferin the nation’s position as well as its competitiveness and trend in the Midwest region; Combiningqualitative analysis with quantitative analysis method, from time change, region change, industrychange and so on three levels to study the spatial-temporal pattern of Henan’s undertakingindustry shift, get the following conclusions:First, the time pattern,①The scale of Henan’s undertaking the international industrialtransfer is becoming larger and larger, presenting a fast growth momentum：the actual use of FDIfrom$5.65million in1985, up to$2012in12.11777billion, nearly20years growth2144.7times.From1985to2012, henan’s FDI contracts which signed were a total of11232, signed contractamount attained$60.436billion, the total amount of the actual use of foreign capital attained$50.011billion, becoming one of the important sources as funds for henan’s development and construction projects, vigorously promoting the development of henan’s economy.②The scaleof henan’s undertaking domestic industry is increasing: during the period of "Eleventh five-yearplan" henan’s practical use of the province capital accumulated of927.67billion yuan, more thansix times the period of "Tenth five-year plan ", During the period of "Twelfth five-year plan" alongwith the central plains economic zone constructed, the actual use of the province capital isgrowing more quickly.Second，regional pattern：①economic development level is higher where the ability toundertake industrial transfer is relatively strong, the main undertake place of henan is thezhongyuan urban agglomeration, but in recent years, the effect of eastern south and north henan toundertake industrial transfer stands out gradually;②During the process of henan‘s undertakingindustrial transfer, the space layout of its use of funds outside the province and FDI is obviousdislocation, the actual utilization of high foreign investment is not necessarily a place where usinghigh funds from outside the province,Henan’s actual use of FDI has obvious imbalance in space,the main lands of foreign direct investment in Henan are Zhengzhou and Luoyang, Henan’sutilizetion of outside province capital is relatively balanced in space;③The undertaking carriersfor henan are180industrial concentration areas,which distributed in various counties city, butindustrial concentration area which undertake well concentrated in zhongyuan urbanagglomeration and north henan.Third, industry patterm,(1) as a whole, taking the year2005as a turning point, henan’sundertaking manufacturing divisions industry transfer appeared two different period. Before2005, the trend of industry transfer is still natural resources, labor and other factors of productionin henan to the east. After2005, the scale and speed of henan undertaking industrial transfercontinues to increase.(2) The cities of henan undertaking industrial transfer in2005-2009compared with that in2000-2005appeared: the number of undertaking manufacturing industry isincreasing, and different cities undertake various manufacturing industries: zhengzhou mainlyundertakes the tobacco products and black metal smelting and rolling processing industry, Kaifengmainly undertakes metal manufacturing, luoyang mainly undertakes furniture manufacturingindustry, luohe mainly undertakes food industry and wine, beverages and refined tea manufacturing industry. But most of puyang’s manufacturing industry transferred out isobvious;(3) Henan’s undertaking three types of intensive elements industrial transfer presentsdifferent spatial characteristics:①Labor-intensive industry: henan takes its advantages toundertake labor-intensive industry, since2005the provincial capital city Zhengzhou undertake themost labor-intensive industries, followed by Luohe, Zhoukou, Shangqiu and Jiaozuo, againNanyang, Xuchang and Sanmenxia City;②Capital-intensive industry, Henan’s extent toundertake capital-intensive industries in2005-2009period compared with2000-2005period hasimproved so much. Since2005, the provincial capital city Zhengzhou up to undertake manycapital-intensive industries, followed by Xuchang, Luoyang, Jiaozuo again, Nanyang, Sanmenxia,Luohe and Shangqiu City.③Technology-intensive industries, Since2005Henan began toundertake a large number of technology-intensive industries, including Zhengzhou undertake alarge number of technology-intensive industries, followed by Jiaozuo, Zhoukou, Luoyang andAnyang, again Xuchang, Luohe, Sanmenxia and Pingdingshan City.
