With the development of economic globalization,enterprises pay more attention onthe construction of the informatization.As one of the most important project ofinformatization construction project,enterprise resource planning(ERP) gradually gets theattention of enterprises.In recent years, more and more enterprises begin to implement ERPsystem.After the implementation of ERP system,how the enterprise efficiency will bechanged is a hot topic.Therefore, this paper studies the relationship between ERP systemsand enterprise efficiency.First of all, the paper introduces the integration management theory and therelationship between the ERP system and the theory;Secondly the article clarifies theconcept of enterprise efficiency, also the paper chooses calculation methods of enterpriseefficiency;Finally, the paper introduces the ERP system and the data envelopment analysis(DEA).On the basis of theoretical analysis and previous studies,the paper use listedcompanies which adopted ERP system from Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchangebetween2006and2009as samples.Firstly,the article studies the change of enterpriseefficiency after ERP implementation through the paired sample T test,and studies the scaleand industry’s impacts on the enterprise efficiency by the paired sample T test.In order tofurther verify the ERP system on enterprise efficiency, the paper used the Tobit model forregression analysis utilizing the data from2010-2012.The results indicate that the adoptedERP companies did not improve the enterprise efficience obviously in the shortterm,namely short-lag;Second,the listed company can significantly improve businessefficiency for a period of time;Third,ERP improves enterprise efficiency for big-scalecompanies more obviously than small-scale companies;Similarly, the manufacturingenterprises after the implementation of ERP system, the improvement of the efficiency isbetter than the non-manufacturing enterprises.
