Study Of Quality Control For Customized Escalator Design In Company X

Escalators are now using widely in public area such as shopping center, airport, metro,railway station and entertainment center. Especially in high speed urbanization andmodernization of China, escalators are installed more and more due to its advantages.However, with the benefit and convenience from more escalators used in cities andtransportation, there are lots of safety risks behind, more and more people pay attention tothe safe using of escalator.Meanwhile, escalators have lot of different special requirements from the customers,especially to adapt different application and interface. These kind of special requirementsmake lots of troubles to escalator manufacturer in design and production work.This article studies the design quality of customized escalator with non-standardoptions by investigating internal quality control process and design control process in Xcompany based on the basic theory of quality management, and then gives an method forimproving the design quality of non-standard escalator, according to the reality of lots ofdifferent customized options in orders.The innovation in this article is that this study gives an management method toimprove the customized products with special options by analyzing the root causes ofnon-standard escalator quality issue and promoting the question in design work fornon-standard design, then giving solutions including process optimization, design methodimprovement and implementation of critical to quality process.
