The pharmaceutical industry is of great significance for the national life safety and health, and as the development of economic and the improvement of people’s living standard, the demand for the pharmaceutical industry gradually diversified and personalized. So it has put forward higher requirements on pharmaceutical chain enterprises, which need rapid response and timeliness. Distribution center is the main distribution body of the pharmaceutical chain enterprise. Beacause the pharmaceutical products is various and small batch, the picking efficiency of distribution center needs to be higher and higher. Therefore, distribution center of the pharmaceutical chain enterprise is subject of this paper, and orders is the research object, author try to fit the optimal sorting operation way for different types of orders.At first, this paper analyzes the status of pharmaceutical distribution center, and point out that order structure is one of the main factors that influence efficiency of order picking. And then we introduce the main analysis method of the orders-EIQ analysis. At the same time, we points out the deficiencies of the EIQ analysis. It can only generally classify orders and product, and guide the operation in a macro level, So it can’t explain the composition of orders. Therefore, this article selects the order matrix as a carrier to study the order and items. With order matrix,a row means a order, a column means a product, and every element means the quantity of each item in each order. Thus, with order matrix, row vector indicates the the composition of each order, and column indicates that the order of each item. In order to analyze the order items and classification, the author on the basis of general order matrix increase four variables, respectively, are two row vector, items according to the order frequency and the order quantity, and two columns, varieties of said order quantity and product quantity. In order to analyze the classification of order and items, the author increase four variates on the general order matrix, respectively: two row vector, items according to the order frequency and the order quantity, and two columns, varieties of said order quantity and product quantity. Then, this article first proposed Dual-phase cluster analysis. On the basis of order matrix and the four variates as the standard, clustering analysis is applied to the order and item, and finally form the classification matrix. The final matrix can indicate different types of items of different types of orders, which shows classification of orders in a macro level and structure of order in a micro level.At last, to amount to determine what kind of sorting operation mode being suitable for different types of orders, dual-phase clustering analysis is applied to analyze the order and item. Based on the final order matrix, set up different sorting model is the time of serial and parallel sorting sorting model formula. Finally, to verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the clustering analysis method and picking tine model, we use the order of Z pharmaceutical chain enterprise distribution center to do simulation experiment and comparison. Experimental results show that the different types of orders, and sorting of different kinds of partition sorting time minimum practices or combination way, the model not only has a certain theoretical guiding significance, but also can provide reference for the choice of mode of actual sorting operation model on the basis of further and more detailed studies, combined with the specific items of order and the distribution center features.
