The Development Status And Mode Selection Of Mushroom Industry In Putian

Along with the improvement of agricultural technology, an obvious progress of agriculture, especially edible fungi industry, in Fujian province was conducted. In Fujian province mushroom industry is essential in the development of agriculture. For example, in Putian improvement of mushroom industry not only flourishes local agriculture but also brings a considerable gain in economy, environment and society. Such progress will also benefit local famers’life. Relying on the currently situation, in this research, a large number of investigation about mushroom industry in Putian were conducted and vast of information were collected. Based on these results, several problems about mushroom industry are revealed:1. Organization of industrial production is incomplete, which may affect farmers’income.2. Lack of professionals in agriculture. Vast majority of people in mushroom industry are uneducated.3. Lack of Leading Corporation, leading to a low competitiveness of local products.4. Lack of environmental awareness, resulted in a serious damage in environment.5. Information is not effective utilized and lack of sources obtaining channel. To overcome these problems, SWOT method was conducted to analyze the advantages, disadvantages, opportunities and challenges of mushroom industry in Putian. Then a novel six aspect-model for developing of mushroom industry in Putian was constructed.1. Update of industrialization.2. Forward to marketization.3. The standardization of production.4. Model modernization.5. Channel diversification.6. Ecological development. At the end, four solutions were introduced to help the healthy development of mushroom industry in Putian.1.Direction of market.2. Primacy of Leading Corporation.3. Combination between scientific exploration and practice.4. Importance in the construction of manufacturing bases.
