Analysis And Design Of Material Management Information System Of NW Power Company

The NW power company is in charge of the investment, construction and operation of southern regional power grid. It’s investment in fixed assets from2009to2012is respectively102.5billion yuan,104.2billion yuan,98.5billion yuan and86.7billion yuan, and every levels of the material management sector are responsible for the company’s purchasing, warehousing, distributing and other tasks. The questions, which is whether the purchased materials meet the needs of the practical grid-building and ensure the safe-operation and zero-accident of power system, whether the purchasing speed of materials can timely satisfy the construction, reflect the importance of the grid’s materials department. However, there are many problems in material management of NW power company, such as low level of informatization, the segregation of material management, the restriction of communication channels, incomplete set of management system which causes the material management chaos, imperfection and understaffing of the institution, lack of unified purchasing mode, unreasonable assigned permissions, unused material cannot be allocated between provinces and cities which causes large quantities of unused material worthless, no unified regulatory system results in uncontrolled material quality, low level of paperless working mode and wastes a lot of resources, and so on.This paper, based on elaborating related contents of material management, supply-chain management and material management informatization, analyzes material management situation and problems of the NW power company over these years and draws the conclusion of the real need and feasibility of material management information system. At the same time, the paper also analyzes several urgent issues which must be solved before the company realizing using the system. Through analyzing the problems and proposing solutions, the analysis lay a solid basis for the material management informatization. The paper respectively expounds the design and the possible achievement of the system in chapter four and five.The research work of this paper offers a set of theory and operating system for the NW power company, which are realistic and can be applied to real work. It is very helpful for optimizing the material management, cutting down the managing costs, improving economic benefits and safe operation of power system.
