An Empirical Analysis On The Quality Difference Of Economic Growth Among Province In China

During the development of economic growth theory, most studies have put thequantity of growth as the full content of economic growth, but never consider thequality of economic growth. The complete process of economic growth must bothinclude the quantity and quality. In the30years of China’s economic growth havegradually come out. This paper clearly defines quality of economic growth from itsextension and intension, then measures it accurately, builds a unified framework ofquality of economic growth.Specifically, this paper first reviewed the research results and defined the qualityof economic growth connotation theoretical. Secondly, through the original datacollection, collation and analysis, selected twenty six dimensions to constitute anindicator of evaluation index system. Again, in sample of thirty provincialadministrative units, with the SPSS statistical analysis software, using factor analysisand cluster analysis method to analysis the quality of economic growth of variousregions of China. We could get the following conclusion: The inter-provincialdifferences of economic growth quality are significant. Among them, more than onethird of the provincial administrative regions "economic and social comprehensivestrength" is weak; half of the inter-provincial administrative region can not achieve"balanced and sustainable development "thirds of the provincial administrativeregions" stability and economic sustainability of growth "can not be guaranteed.Subsequently, through the R&D input and economic growth quality empirical analysisshows that the eastern which the areas have the higher quality of economic growth, itsR&D input is also up, while the R&D input to economic growth effect was alsosignificantly; Midwestern, which the quality of economic growth of poor regions, theR&D input is also less, while R&D input to economic growth had little impact.The main contribution of this paper is that: Firstly, we analysis the theoretical ofthe quality of economic growth, and use the statistical methods to re-define themeaning of the quality of economic growth. And we re-constructed a new indexsystem. Secondly, This article judge the quality of economic growth from a globalperspective, we use six dimensions which include the economic growth, sustainability,stability, technological progress, social life and resource utilization and ecologicalenvironment, to analysis the quality of economic growth. Thirdly, this paper usespanel data method of R&D input on the quality of economic growth influence on the inter-provincial differences in the quality of economic growth, a more detailedanalysis and discussion.
